Video Link: Hidden Compound
Fourth floor of the complex was straightforward. We found Subject Z and the Wayist, and proceeded to shoot Z while he murdered the poor Wayist; RIP in pieces, Yeekbro. Z did drop us two different armors, the only one of which we held onto being The Untouchable. I still haven't decided if we'll use it or not, but I'll figure that out for the next video. I waste too much time moving around afterwards before I remember to recall out. Oops.
Next up is the Hidden Compound. This place has a really bad layout and an annoying gimmick, but it doesn't take too long because, for a change, I just used the stairs as soon as I found them. This took us to the Ring of Blood in short order, where we took control of a fighter and won the 10 round match on our first try, earning the Bloodcaller ring that I'll never use. Afterwards, we killed the owner of the place because bloodsports are wrong, or whatever.
We reached 20 last video, but we spend the points here. Well, the stat points anyway. We're currently banking 3 class points, 1 generic, and 1 category. Where we spend these points depends entirely on how the category point is spent. Strangling Shot is also on the horizon, so I also have to keep that in mind while spending these points.
My first thought is that I should spend it on Combat Techniques and go quickly into Precise strikes and Blinding Speed, then the generic points can start going into either Heightened Senses or towards Slow Motion. This will delay Rapid Shot quite a bit longer, though if I manage to finish one or more of the alchemist quests that I want, it may not be that long.
The other option is to go for one of the generic trees so I have somewhere to spend those points for the long term, and the class points start towards Rapid Shot. I probably won't use Rapid Shot until I have it at least 3/5, leaving me a point shy of that goal just yet.
I probably won't spend the category point for another inscription slot. It would be nice to have a fourth just so I can throw in something else that strikes my fancy (Heroism or a decent Vision, maybe), but I don't see the need for that as greatly as I do the need to finish out the talent skeleton for Ms. Mr Derpjangles so I can start adding the meat and really wheel out the damage.
Either way, I'll be making this choice in the near future; I expect that will be after Daikara since there can be escorts there. If they're not in Daikara, then they're in Dreadfell and there's no real point in planning around saving those.
