This is a new-to-me zone, the Lost Land of Poosh. It isn't very difficult, and as I noted I was out-leveled so clearly my power is growing pretty well. Snowball hype. Other than the unique we got from the boss, Poosh was a pretty barren place for loot. The boss was interesting since I don't seem to fight many temporal users. Overall a decent place, and the unique will probably wind up completely forgotten.

On the way to the next zone I intend to do, I had another first-time event happen: I made a kitty friend. Maybe. A cat showed up and wanted something to eat, so naturally I fed him/her troll intestines because what else would you feed a cat. It ran off, but "somehow [I] feel [I] have not seen the last of it." Hooray!


Skills: get Heightened Senses hype! Only somewhat of an exaggeration, but really it's a good skill to have. We've finally hit the point in the game where I've given up on the idea of escorts. It is possible that I'll get one or more in Daikara, but the odds of me getting one more Thief, let alone the three that it would take to make spending this point a waste, are pretty low. So naturally that will happen just to make me look like an ass.

Our class point went to Crippling Shot, because having 25% slow is kinda sexy. I've checked it out on ToME Tips, and I know that I for sure won't put more than 3 points in this talent since the slow scales with accuracy and caps at 40%; it hits 39% slow at 100 accuracy and two points. I'm not sure I want to plan around end-game stats like that, but I also have 63 accuracy already so 100 accuracy isn't quite that far away as is.
